The team together with the government of Georgia aims to construct a world-class port complex for Georgia and establish Anaklia as a focal point of trade to and from Central Asia and on the New Silk Road trade route between China and Europe. ADC’s goal for the Anaklia Port intends to develop port infrastructure in Georgia, thereby providing reduced costs for those who use the port and subsequently improving economic opportunities regionally and domestically.

Anaklia Port unlocks a primary market (Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia) of 17 million people from the Caucasus region and another 147 million people from landlocked countries in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan) and Northern Iran.

Anaklia Deep Sea Port will be the first Georgian container port with deep water, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and equipment. These factors will result in port productivity, efficiency, and reliability along with superior customer service. Set to open in 2020, Anaklia Deep Seaport will be completed over the course of 9 phases, with a total investment of $2.5 billion. Anaklia Port’s depth will be 16 meters enabling to berth vessels up to 10,000 TEUs in capacity.
